Picture Haldane: Staying on

STRIKER EXTENDS VALE LOAN DEAL

Lewis Haldane has extended his loan deal for a third month from Bristol Rovers and can also play in Port Vale's FA Cup tie with Stevenage.

Haldane has been allowed by parent club Bristol Rovers to remain at Vale for the maximum 93 days, and has been told he can play in the first-round clash on Saturday - a move that will see the 24-year-old cup-tied for the competition should he return to the Memorial Stadium.

The former Wales Under-21 international had already been given permission to play for Vale in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy, and appeared in their win against Stockport last month.
