Charlton regained top spot in Coca-Cola League One thanks to a 2-1 win over Huddersfield at The Valley on Saturday.

Sam Sodje put Charlton in front after five minutes, with Anthony Pilkington replying for the visitors on 38 minutes, before forward Izale McLeod grabbed the winner four minutes into the second half.

Huddersfield's defeat was their fifth in a row in all competitions.

Charlton are a now point ahead of Leeds, who have two games in hand, starting with Norwich's visit to Elland Road on Monday.

MK Dons moved up to third, just a point behind Leeds, courtesy of a 2-0 win at home to Gillingham. Jermaine Easter gave the Dons a 61st-minute lead and Aaron Wilbraham made sure of the points with a last-minute clincher.

Colchester missed the chance to go second when they were held 1-1 at Wycombe, who salvaged a draw though an 87th-minute goal from Jon-Paul Pittman.

Despite their point, Wycombe drop to the bottom after Southampton gained a 3-1 win at Oldham.

Dean Hammond, Richard Lambert and David Connolly got the goals for Saints, who began the season minus 10 points but are now off the foot of the table for the first time this season.

Neil Harris scored a hat-trick in Millwall's 4-0 win at Stockport that lifted them to ninth in the table and Swindon missed a chance to climb into the play-off places when they lost 2-0 at home to Hartlepool.

Tranmere gained a 2-1 win over Brighton, Leyton Orient beat Brentford by the same score and Southend beat fifth-placed Bristol Rovers 2-1

Steve Jones scored twice in Walsall's 3-0 win over Exeter and Ryan Mason, a striker on loan from Tottenham, got two goals in Yeovil's 3-1 win over Carlisle.
