Charlton and Leeds maintained their 100% starts in Coca-Cola League One by securing their sixth victories of the season on Saturday afternoon.

The Addicks remained top on goal difference as goals from Deon Burton and Lloyd Sam secured a 2-0 victory at The Valley that ended Brentford's unbeaten record.

Burton opened the scoring after 11 minutes following good work by Sam, who then doubled the lead by finishing off a flowing move on the half-hour.

Mike Grella put Leeds on the way to a hard-fought 2-0 win over Stockport at Elland Road before Lubomir Michalik added their second after 37 minutes.

It could have been worse for Stockport had Owain Fon Williams not saved a second-half penalty from Robert Snodgrass but the visitors gave a good account of themselves.

Leeds' victory was a club record 14th in succession at home in the league.

Antony Kay hit a 78th-minute winner as Huddersfield twice came from behind to beat MK Dons 3-2 and move up to third after a thriller at stadium:mk.

The game burst into life as Jemal Johnson opened the scoring for the hosts after 47 minutes and Jordan Rhodes replied with his seventh goal of the season eight minutes later.

Jermaine Easter put the Dons back ahead just before the hour but the Terriers again replied immediately through Theo Robinson and Kay settled it, although Lewis Gobern hit the bar in injury time for Paul Ince's men.

John Barnes' dismal start as Tranmere manager continued as 10-man Rovers went down 3-0 at Carlisle.

The Merseysiders' hopes of a first away win nose-dived after Shaleum Logan was dismissed late in the first half and Joe Anyinsah, Danny Livesey and Ian Harte took full advantage.

Former Watford manager Aidy Boothroyd earned a point in his first match as Colchester manager as his new side drew 0-0 with 10 men at Alan Pardew's Southampton.

Colchester had Kemal Izzet sent off for violent conduct after just 36 minutes following an incident involving Adam Lallana but held on to leave Saints still looking for their first win of the campaign.

Goals were in short supply at Carrow Road for the first time this season as Norwich's clash with Walsall finished goalless.

A Terrell Forbes own goal gave Swindon a 1-0 win at Yeovil while Brighton saw off Wycombe by the same scoreline after a 75th-minute goal from Nicky Forster.

Simeon Jackson scored twice, once from the penalty spot, as Gillingham beat Exeter 3-0 with Luke Rooney also on the scoresheet.

Jeff Hughes and Chris Lines were on target as Bristol Rovers saw off Millwall 2-0 at the Memorial Stadium. Hughes struck from the spot after 26 minutes with Lines doubling the lead just after the hour.
