Southend's head of youth Ricky Duncan and centre of excellence manager Luke Hobbs have both signed new two-year deals with the club.
The duo have been at Roots Hall for two years after joining the Shrimpers from Cambridge.
Duncan told the club's official website: "I'm very pleased to sign this deal. In the two years I have been here, we have come a long way, which gives us a base to build on over the next two years.
"Hopefully in that period we will be ready to step on to become an Academy club."
