Plymouth boss Ian Holloway has the option of using French keeper Romain Larrieu for their game against relegation-haunted Southend on Saturday.
Larrieu, 30, will vie for a place between the sticks with Luke McCormick after returning to Home Park following a successful 14-match loan spell at League One Gillingham.
McCormick has started the last 21 matches for Argyle in the Championship and FA Cup following a spell when Larrieu returned to the side for four matches in December.
Argyle are set to rely on the same outfield line-up which has recorded back-to-back victories - 2-1 at Luton and 3-0 at home to Leicester - which coincided with the return of French centre-back Mat Doumbe alongside Dutchman Marcel Seip.
Midfielder Lee Hodges (hamstring) is still sidelined by injury.
Leading scorer Freddy Eastwood will undergo a late fitness test before struggling Southend go in search of three priceless points.
The 16-goal striker missed last weekend's defeat against Barnsley with a back problem and it is not yet known whether he has recovered sufficiently for the trip west.
Richie Foran is expected to retain his place in the attack if Eastwood fails to recover.
Elsewhere, manager Steve Tilson reports a clean bill of health as his side look to climb out of the relegation zone.
The Shrimpers sit second from bottom in the Championship table - 10 places below Plymouth - and have three games to make up the three points separating them from safety.
