Rotherham insist they have received no official approaches for goalkeeper Mike Pollitt in the wake of speculation linking him with a move away.
The 33-year-old has been linked with moves to Sunderland, Norwich and Crystal Palace and has been an impressive figure between the sticks for the Millers during almost four years at Millmoor.
Indeed, he has long been regarded as one of the Championship's better keepers, and after Rotherham's relegation to League One a number of teams may look upon him as a solution to their goalkeeping problems.
"There has been no official approach but during the last 10 days he must have been linked with six or seven different clubs," a club spokesman said.
"He has stated that he wants to play in the Championship and like the majority of players they have been told that if they want to fix themselves up with a club in the higher leagues then they can do so.
"But as Mick Harford has said if they show the right attitude then they are very much welcome to stay at Rotherham."
