Portsmouth boss Paul Hart has rejected rumours linking him with the manager's job at Reading.

Reports earlier this week suggested the Royals were targeting a move for Hart should they lose patience with Brendan Rodgers.

Rodgers' position at Reading is thought to be under threat following a disastrous start to the Championship season.

However, Hart has moved quickly to dismiss the rumours linking him with a surprise move to the Madejski Stadium.

"I heard about the story yesterday," Hart told The News.

"Brendan Rodgers is very much the manager of Reading Football Club and I'm very much manager of Portsmouth Football Club.

"That's absolutely it. Finished."
