Blackpool's Stephen Crainey is hoping to be back in action in less than the estimated six weeks after making good progress from groin surgery.
The 27-year-old left-back has been unable to play any part in the Tangerines' campaign so far, and having also missed the back end of last season with a knee injury, the Scotsman is hoping that his latest operation will finally see and end to his injury woes.
Crainey told the club's official website: "Hopefully it went well. I've been able to go straight onto the bike and doing some really light stuff so I'm delighted with that because I thought I would have been struggling for a week or two.
"They said six to eight weeks but different people react differently and I'm hoping the lower end of that scale to be honest.
"I just need to take it day-by-day and hopefully keep progressing as well as I am now."
