Ipswich captain Jason De Vos has insisted that his team-mates will be in for a tough battle when they face the Championship's bottom side Colchester on Saturday.
Geraint Williams' outfit could be relegated with a defeat to the Tractor Boys but De Vos believes that the Us will be "fighting for their lives".
He told the club's official website: "Derby games are great for the area and are enjoyed by players and supporters.
"I know Colchester could be relegated if results go against them so they will be fighting for their lives.
"We have plenty at stake as well though and have to go there and get the three points."
"We've had some terrific games against Colchester over the last two years and we are all looking forward to another one at Layer Road on Saturday."
