Millwall boss Nigel Spackman plans to overhaul the club's training facilities before the players return for pre-season.
Spackman, who took over as boss of the relegated Lions last week, admits the club's Bromley training base needs considerable improvement.
He said: "The training ground needs a lot of work done to it to bring it up to standard.
"It's where we spend most of our time, and we want to get a surface down there which ensures we'll be able to play good football.
"The buildings down there have a very tatty reputation, and when I saw them they were worse than I had been led to believe they were.
"I hope that by the time the players return for pre-season next month things will be looking brighter at the training ground."
