New Millwall boss Nigel Spackman has offered Ray Wilkins the chance to be a member of his backroom team.
Wilkins - a former Lions assistant manager - has been helping the club in a consultancy role since late in the season, and was instrumental in bringing Spackman to The Den.
Spackman, who took over earlier this week, said: "I've told Ray there's a job here if he wants to stay. We'll be discussing it in the next few days.
"I'd love him to stay and work with him in some capacity. He phoned me to see whether I was interested in the job.
"I have had meetings with Ray about players who are here, and talked about maybe bringing players in as well.
"It's up to Ray. If he wants to stay and be part of Millwall that's great; if he feels he can't be or he wants to move onto something else, then that's his decision."
