Luton could be without three key players for the must-win Friday night game at promotion-chasing Derby.
The Hatters, who will be relegated to League One if they fail to win at Pride Park, are sweating on the fitness of defender Sol Davis and midfielders Matthew Spring and Steve Robinson for the clash with Billy Davies' team.
Robinson is unlikely to feature due to a back problem, but Spring has returned to training after picking up a knock since the 2-1 home defeat by Plymouth last weekend, and Davis is attempting to recover from a calf problem.
But goalkeeper Marlon Beresford (broken finger), midfielder Ahmet Brkovic (eye) and forward Dean Morgan (ankle) are all ruled out of the match.
Luton are eight points adrift of safety with only three matches remaining, and must win to keep their slim survival hopes alive.
Derby goalkeeper Stephen Bywater's successful appeal against an imminent suspension means he will be available for the clash.
Bywater could have missed the game after receiving a red card in the 2-1 defeat at Ipswich last weekend, but the Football Association have upheld the Rams' appeal.
However, defender Darren Moore will miss out against the Hatters as he serves the second of a four-match ban, while fellow centre-half Michael Johnson has been ruled out by a hamstring injury.
Lewin Nyatanga, recalled from loan at Barnsley last week, is set to deputise alongside Dean Leacock.
Marc Edworthy is ready to once more play through the discomfort of a broken nose and on-loan winger Darren Currie has returned to availability after missing the game against his parent club Ipswich.
Stephen Pearson, who has been out since February, could also make a comeback following his recovery from a foot injury.
