A brilliant strike by Scotland striker Kenny Miller earned Wolves a draw against Leicester at Molineux to ensure they will meet Reading in the play-offs.

The visitors had the better of the opening exchanges and James Scowcroft had a half chance for the visitors in the opening minute when he could not quite get his head to a long cross from Andrew Impey.

But Wolves gradually began to assert themselves and Nathan Blake drilled wide of the up-right in the 18th minute as the men in gold created a succession of chances.

Just three minutes later Leicester keeper Ian Walker brilliantly tipped Scottish midfielder Colin Cameron's 20-yard drive around the post and in the following minute Wolves' top scorer Miller should have done better when well positioned, but he tried to place his shot and Walker saved comfortably.

But against the run of play Leicester nearly took the lead when veteran striker Brian Deane rounded Matt Murray in the Wolves goal only for Lee Naylor to clear his goalbound shot off the line.

Deane had another effort saved after a fine long ball from his strike-partner Trevor Benjamin, who himself had an opportunity to break the deadlock after a poor clearance from Naylor but could only shoot straight at Murray.

The second half started scrappily but was illuminated by the impressive Miller who after 57 minutes beat two defenders on the right before cutting in to stroke a shot past Walker for his 19th league goal of the season.

With nothing left in the season to play for, Leicester faded from the game and Wolves looked to take advantage and add to their lead.

Denis Irwin struck a free-kick wide from the edge of the area before a superb flowing move resulted in the influential Mark Kennedy crossing for Miller who was just unable to direct his header past Walker.

But Leicester showed the fighting spirit which has served them well all season and found an equaliser after 85 minutes when Ludovic Pollet handled in the area and Benjamin tucked away the penalty.
