A bizarre late own goal from Gary Doherty gave Ipswich a 2-1 win over Norwich in a captivating East Anglian derby at Carrow Road.
Ipswich's 18-year-old Danny Haynes stooped to head Alan Lee's knock down but TV replays suggested that it was Doherty's boot which hooked the ball over the line.
Jimmy Juan's deflected free-kick had pulled Ipswich level in the first half after intense pressure.
Juan's flighted strike on 38 minutes took a wicked deflection off Jonatan Johansson to give England World Cup hopeful Robert Green no chance.
A goal on his full debut from Johansson had given Norwich the lead just five minutes earlier.
Johansson beat the Ipswich offside trap from Youssef Safri's through ball to calmly lob the ball over the advancing Lewis Price.
The goal came just moments after Ipswich midfielder Matt Richards had shook the post with a crisp 20-yard volley with Green well beaten, and it was Joe Royle's side who had the better chances throughout.
All eyes were on Robert Earnshaw, who enjoyed a quiet Norwich debut, but it was his former Cardiff team-mate Lee who was the first to chance his arm for Ipswich on just four minutes.
A mazy dribble from Juan was laid off to Lee, but he shot straight at Green .
The impressive Juan, on loan from Monaco, then had a shot blocked in a lively start, before Darren Currie stretched Green with a fine 25-yard volley.
Currie bought the best out of Green for a second time 10 minutes later, with the England international tipping his curling effort over for a corner.
Norwich could have regained the lead in stoppage time when Norwich's third debutant Zesh Rehman lashed over from close range.
Darren Huckerby and Carl Robinson were brought on at half-time by Nigel Worthington as the Canaries sought their fourth straight derby win, and their first win of 2006.
And Robinson almost made an immediate impression, but Richard Naylor blocked his goalbound effort after Johansson had pulled the ball back.
Alan Lee then wasted a glorious chance for Ipswich, heading straight at Green from seven yards after Currie had beat three men to pick him out.
The game was wide open and Richards went close for a second time from long range before Ipswich had two strong penalty shouts waved away by referee Keith Stroud.
First Haynes got free of Doherty to head past Robert Green, who clattered the youngster, and then Lee appeared to be caught by Doherty.
Nothing was given by Stroud and Johansson came inches away from rubbing salt into Ipswich's wounds just seconds later.
Paul McVeigh's audacious overhead kick was met by the Finn from six yards, but the woodwork came to Ipswich's rescue.
Haynes and Lee both went close for Ipswich in a frantic last 10 minutes before Doherty's own goal settled the match.
