Doncaster striker Waide Fairhurst has joined Shrewsbury on loan for an initial month.
Fairhurst made three first-team appearances as a substitute at the end of last season but broke into manager Sean O'Driscoll's starting line-up in style in recent weeks.
The 20-year-old scored in his first full appearance, a 3-1 defeat at West Brom, and followed up with another goal in his next match four days later in the 3-3 home draw with Ipswich.
O'Driscoll handed Fairhurst his chance following injuries to experienced strikers James Hayter, Paul Heffernan, James Coppinger and Steve Brooker.
