Crewe boss Dario Gradi will go into next season without two backroom staff with Terry McPhillips and Mick Court set to leave Gresty Road.
Liverpool-based McPhillips, assistant to academy director Steve Holland, handed in his resignation last week following 14 seasons with the club.
Meanwhile, sports scientist Court has ended a two-year stint with the Alex to join Premiership newboys Watford.
Gradi said: "Terry has been finding it hard with the travelling. He did move to Crewe a while ago but never settled in the area and has been travelling in from Liverpool."
The Alex boss added: "Mick is moving on to Watford with the chance to work for a Premiership club. He is an ambitious man and we wish him the best.
"He'll be difficult to replace because he's something of a trail blazer in his field and I don't think there are many like Mick around in this country, which is why Watford wanted him."
