Picture Heath - hopes top men stay.

HOLD ON TO STARS - HEATH

Matt Heath has urged Colchester to keep hold of their best players to give themselves the best possible chance of bouncing back to the Championship at the first attempt.

Centre-half Heath became the Us' first summer signing when he made his loan deal from Leeds a permanent switch.

"Colchester have a lot of good things going for them," he said.

"They have the new stadium, a new training ground on the way and the manager wants the best for the club.

"I think the squad that we have is worthy of getting the club back into the Championship and I hope we can keep our best players."
