Sheffield United's injury crisis has deepened with the news Andrew Davies will miss the clash at Blackpool after aggravating a knee problem.
Manager Kevin Blackwell was without 10 first-team players for Saturday's 3-1 defeat at Scunthorpe - and could only name six substitutes on the bench - and now Davies, who collided with the hoardings at Glanford Park, has been added to the list.
Blackwell must decide whether to start with unsettled defender Matthew Kilgallon, who he replaced on Saturday on the grounds that his form has been affected by the current contract row.
Summer signing Jonathan Fortune was on the bench against Scunthorpe and could be ready to make his first appearance following a ruptured Achilles if Blackwell opts to rest Kilgallon.
Jamie Ward (broken wrist), Richard Cresswell (ribs), Lee Williamson (back), Derek Geary, Gary Naysmith, James Harper, Montgomery (all knee) and Paddy Kenny (drugs ban) are all sidelined.
Blackpool boss Ian Holloway is set to name an unchanged line-up at Bloomfield Road.
Defender Ian Evatt should be in the starting line-up again after playing the full 90 minutes of Saturday's victory over Plymouth.
Fellow defender Danny Coid (fractured tibia) is still sidelined as are strikers Daniel Nardiello (hip), Gary Taylor-Fletcher (ankle ligaments) and Stephen McPhee (knee).
Midfielder Ishmel Demontagnac made his comeback from a hamstring injury against Plymouth, coming on four minutes from time, and although he was sent off for violent conduct in a reserve match last week, his three-match ban does not yet come into play and he could feature.
