Barnsley manager Mark Robins has admitted that he could be ready to send some of his fringe players out on loan to find first-team football.

The former Rotherham boss has made five new signings since replacing Simon Davey last month, with former Crystal Palace winger Julian Gray, Hull defender Nathan Doyle, Slovenia international centre-back Suad Filekovic and on-loan Stoke defenders Carl Dickinson and Ryan Shotton joining the club.

Robins told the Sheffield Star: "There might be one or two players who need to go out and get games.

"There's nothing been agreed right at the moment for any player, but that's definitely an option for us."

Striker Kayode Odejayi joined Colchester on loan last month, while Martin Devaney, Mounir El Haimour, O'Neil Thompson and Rob Kozluk have found starting places hard to come by.
