Harlequins prop forward Dave Williams has signed a new contract for 2010 and set himself the target of establishing himself in the Super League team.
The 22-year-old Londoner joined Harlequins at the age of 15 and was awarded a squad number this year, although injury restricted him to a solitary senior appearance.
He said: "I played with Tony Clubb and Louie McCarthy-Scarsbrook throughout my junior career and seeing them and others break through into the first team gave me the belief that I could too.
"I struggled with injuries last season but now I'm raring to go."
Harlequins coach Brian McDermott said: "Dave will be the first to admit he had a frustrating year with injury. These are still the very early stages of his career and we're all looking forward to getting things back on track."
