Phil Taylor crushed practice partner Darren Webster 5-1 to march into the semi-finals at Purfleet.
The 13-time world champion, put behind him the controversy of Thursday night's bad-tempered encounter with Chris Mason - which ended with 'The Power' threatening to quit the sport as he accused his opponent of swearing at him when the match concluded.
Everything was much more amicable as the 46-year-old eased through 5-1 against Norwich's Darren Webster, dropping only four legs and ending with a three-figure three-dart average - something only he is capable of achieving on a regular basis.
For world number 47 Webster, there was the consolation of hitting a 164 checkout - the highest of the tournament so far, as he enjoyed his moment in the spotlight by claiming the fifth set.
"Darren was gutsy and never gave in," said Taylor, who faces fellow Stoke player Andy 'The Hammer' Hamilton in the semi-finals.
"I think his 164 was one of the best shots anyone has ever done against me in my career, because he was under a lot of pressure."
