A well-travelled cricketer, Drakes has played for Sussex, Warwickshire and Nottinghamshire in England as well as spending large amounts of his career playing professionally in South Africa.
Primarily known for his disciplined line and length bowling, Drakes is also no rabbit with the bat.
He has four first-class centuries to his name with a top score of 180 not out.
Drakes could very well be a surprise element for the West Indies in the World Cup.
