Giles - injury ruined his Ashes series.
ASHLEY GILES
Born: 19.03.73
One-day internationals:
Batting: Right Hand (Avge: 11.87)
Bowling: Left Hand Orthodox (Avge: 37.45)
Catches: 4
Quite simply England's most dependable bowler.
Losing him to a broken wrist during the Ashes series was a major blow for England, although it is unlikely his presence would have affected the outcome.
His finger spin offers control that in the one-day game can prove crucial.
Missed the latter stages of the Ashes series and the entire VB Series after having his wrist broken by team-mate Steve Harmison during net practice.
But now he is back to full fitness, if he can frustrate batsmen and get through 10 overs relatively economically Giles has an important role to play in the tournament.
