Holland's reserve wicketkeeper, Jeroen Smits has been kept out of the international side by the fine form of Reinout Scholte.
His last outing in an ICC Trophy game came back in April 1997 when he turned out against Denmark in a game his team lost by three wickets.
Although younger than Scholte, Smits is still 30-years old and seems to have a limited future at international level.
