CRICKET WORLD CUP BANGLADESH

MASHRAFE MORTAZA

Born: 05.10.83
One-day internationals: 3
Batting: Right Hand (Avge: 6.66)
Bowling: Right Hand Medium (Avge: 29.00)
Catches: 0

A medium pace opening bowler, Mashrafe Mortaza, also known as Koushik, last played one-day international cricket for Bangladesh in November 2001 against Zimbabwe.

And while his bowling record is reasonable – four wickets in just three games – he could well miss out unless injury strikes one of the other bowlers.

A number 11 batsman, the 19-year old has a good Test match record of 12 wickets in just four games, and he will benefit greatly from being a part of the 2003 World Cup.
