Bangladesh's captain and wicketkeeper, Khaled Mashud will have a lot of responsibility in the 2003 World Cup.
Mashud has hit three half-centuries in his 51 one-day internationals, but will have to improve on his strike rate of 51.16 runs per 100 balls.
Although he will have only turned 27 just before the tournament starts, he made his ODI debut back in April 1995 in a humiliating nine wicket defeat by India.
