Yet to represent Canada in a ICC Trophy game, Ashish Patel is a right-arm medium pace bowler from Quebec.
He did however play for Canada in the 2001-02 Americas Cup and in the 6 Nations Challenge in Namibia, and impressed many judges with some accurate bowling and good returns.
Although he is unlikely to start in Canada's World Cup campaign he could well feature if any of the first-choice bowlers suffer injury.
