Although born in India, 21-year-old Ashish Bagai is a rising star of Canadian cricket.
A talented wicketkeeper/batsman, Bagai will go into the World Cup on the back of a summer playing second grade cricket in Australia for Glenelg in Adelaide, South Australia.
He captained an Americas team in the under-19 World Cup in Sri Lanka, and was also in charge of Canada in the 2002 tournament in New Zealand.
