Opened in 2002, the Beausejour Stadium in St Lucia was then comfortably the most modern ground in the Caribbean.
The impressive stadium has been labelled a benchmark for new cricket grounds in the region, and in 2006 hosted the first day-night international in the Caribbean.
The stadium has been developed further since being confirmed as a World Cup 2007 venue, with the capacity rising from 12,000 to 20,000 in time for the tournament.
England will be based in St Lucia for their Group C matches, and with the lively tourist resort of Rodney Bay close to the stadium, the Barmy Army should find the island an amenable HQ.
