aussies set to be unchanged
Ponting - likely to lead same XI.
Australia are set to name an unchanged side again in the World Cup final against Sri Lanka in Barbados on Saturday.
But the overwhelming favourites have stopped short of naming the side a day early, as they did for the semi-final against South Africa.
Sri Lanka's chairman of selectors Ashantha de Mel earlier insisted seam bowler Dilhara Fernando would be dropped after his poor display against New Zealand, but he is in the 12-man squad for the showpiece at the Kensington Oval.
Nuwan Kulasekara and Malinga Bandara - who both played when a below-strength Sri Lanka lost heavily to Australia at the Super Eight stage - are omitted.
Teams:
Australia (probable): AC Gilchrist (wkt), ML Hayden, RT Ponting (capt), MJ Clarke, MEK Hussey, A Symonds, SR Watson, GB Hogg, NW Bracken, SW Tait, GD McGrath.
Sri Lanka (from): WU Tharanga, ST Jayasuriya, KC Sangakkara (wkt), DP Jayawardene (capt), LPC Silva, TM Dilshan, RP Arnold, WPUJC Vaas, SL Malinga, M Muralitharan, CRD Fernando, F Maharoof.
Umpires: SA Bucknor (WI) & Aleem Dar (Pak)
3rd Umpire: RE Koertzen (SA).
Match referee: JJ Crowe (NZ).
