Razzak celebrates a wicket.

Bangladesh (96 for three) beat Bermuda (94 for nine) by seven wickets with 3.3 overs remaining (rain-reduced match).

So there you have it. India are out of the World Cup and Bangladesh are through to the Super Eights. That was an admirable effort from the Bermudans but in the end sense prevailed and Bangladesh advanced. That's it from us from a rain-frustrated day. Cheers.

Over 17.3: One more single and then hammers the ball past mid-on to bring up the victory.
Bangladesh 96/3 (RR: 5.48): Ashraful 29* (32), Hasan 26* (35)

Over 17: Five singles and another wide. There is an appeal for a catch by the 'keeper but alas, no success for Bermuda. The 50 partnership has been notched up too now.
Bangladesh 91/3 (RR: 5.35): Ashraful 28* (30), Hasan 22* (34)
Bangladesh need 5 runs to win from 4 overs at 1.25 runs per over.

Over 16: Leverock gets picked off on the sweep. Three runs off the over as Bangladesh close in on victory. 50 parthership also close now.
Bangladesh 85/3 (RR: 5.31): Ashraful 25* (27), Hasan 20* (31)
Bangladesh need 11 runs to win from 5 overs at 2.20 runs per over.

Over 15: Hasan goes on the slo-sweep and gets another boundary and then steals a single. Borden bowls a shocking leg-side wide off which the batters also take a single. Leverock misfields in the cover and they nab another and off the last ball of the over there is a near run-out but safe. One more run.
Bangladesh 82/3 (RR: 5.46): Ashraful 23* (23), Hasan 19* (29)
Bangladesh need 14 runs to win from 6 overs at 2.33 runs per over.

Delyone Borden into the attack.

Over 14: Ashraful backs himself and goes over mid-on for four after a single to Hasan. He then drives, nabbing a single and a bonus run for the overthrow. Good partnership this for the Bangladeshis.
Bangladesh 73/3 (RR: 5.21): Ashraful 22* (22), Hasan 13* (24)
Bangladesh need 23 runs to win from 7 overs at 3.28 runs per over.

Over 13: Fruitful over for Bangladesh as they run realy well to get two to mid-wicket off the bat of Ashraful and then Ashraful deflects one to third-man which beats the diving fielder and goes for four.
Bangladesh 66/3 (RR: 5.01): Ashraful 16* (19), Hasan 12* (21)
Bangladesh need 30 runs to win from 8 overs at 3.82 runs per over.

Over 12: David Hemp puts down a sharp catch in the covers while Ashraful and Hasan employ some fancy wrist work, gathering singles all over the park and a fine tickle for two to fine-leg. Good enough start from the big man - Leverock.
Bangladesh 59/3 (RR: 4.91): Ashraful 10* (15), Hasan 11* (19)
Bangladesh need 37 runs to win from 9 overs at 4.11 runs per over.

Dwayne Leverock into the attack.

Over 11: Hasan gets a single on the drive. Ashraful fails to get two balls off the square and then tries to smear one over mid-on. He mis-times and Oliver Pitcher dives for the catch but misses. He hits his head on the ground in the process and has hurt himself. There is a delay as he is escorted off the field by the medics. Let's hope is alright. One more single is taken after Pitcher's departure.
Bangladesh 55/3 (RR: 5.00): Ashraful 9* (13), Hasan 8* (15)
Bangladesh need 41 runs to win from 10 overs at 4.10 runs per over.

Over 10: Hasan goes back over the bowler's head but the ball stops dead in the sodden outfield and they take three. He then gets an edge and luckily the ball splits second slip and gully and he collects a single. Ashraful picks up some more runs for himself with singles picked off around the ground.
Bangladesh 52/3 (RR: 5.10): Ashraful 6* (8), Hasan 7* (14)
Bangladesh need 44 runs to win from 11 overs at 4.18 runs per over.

Over 9: Ashraful and Hasan struggling to penetrate the in-fielders but collecting three singles for their efforts. There is no need to rush, if they just go about collecting the singles they will take the match at a canter and go through to the Super Eights.
Bangladesh 45/3 (RR: 5.00): Ashraful 4* (4), Hasan 3* (12)
Bangladesh need 51 runs to win from 12 overs at 4.25 runs per over.

Tucker into the attack.

All powerplays now over.

Over 8: A flurry of singles and two more wides add to the blossoming Bangladehi total. Asraful getting off the mark with very little trouble as Mukuddem strays in line and length.
Bangladesh 42/3 (RR: 5.25): Ashraful 2* (2), Hasan 2* (8)
Bangladesh need 54 runs to win from 13 overs at 4.15 runs per over.

Duckworth you beauty - Another revision in the total - Bangladesh now chasing 96.

Mohammad Ashraful is the new batsman out in the middle.

S Nafees c Tucker b Mukuddem 12 (25)

Mukuddem strikes again as the Bangladeshis lost their star opener, caught at slip. Nafees tries to bang it throug the covers but only manages the edge.

Over 7: Nafees drives wonderfully through the covers and the fielder hauls it in so they get three. He and Hasan pick up a single each and Hurdle bowls to more atrocious wides. The extras tally is a joke already.
Bangladesh 37/2 (RR: 5.28): Nafees 12* (24), Hasan 1* (5)
Bangladesh need 57 runs to win from 14 overs at 4.14 runs per over.

Over 6: Hasan plays out the remainder of the successful over for Bermuda, failing to get off the mark just yet.
Bangladesh 30/2 (RR: 5.00): Nafees 8* (20), Hasan 0* (3)
Bangladesh need 64 runs to win from 15 overs at 4.33 runs per over.

Saqibul Hasan is the new batter.

WICKET
A Ahmed lbw Mukuddem 7 (14)

Ahmed swings and misses but so does the 'keeper and the ball races to the long-stop rope for four. Mukuddem then pitches one straight on and traps Ahmed dead in front. Gone!

Over 5: Hurdle bowls another wide down the leg-side. Nafees picks up a quick single thanks to a shot with soft-hands down to third-man. Ahmed is not afraid to play his shots and tries to go over covers for a big one but only gets one thanks to a bout of mis-timing.
Bangladesh 26/1 (RR: 5.20): Nafees 8* (20), Ahmed 7* (11)
Bangladesh need 70 runs to win from 16 overs at 4.37 runs per over.

The wonder that is the Duckworth/Lewis Sytem employs a bit of hindsight and says that Bangladesh in fact just need 94 to win, not 95.

Over 4: Ahmed and Nafees scamper through for a single each. Ahmed then drives uppishly past mid-on for four. Mukuddem gets one or two to nip back to Ahemd to finish off the over.
Bangladesh 23/1 (RR: 5.75): Nafees 7* (16), Ahmed 6* (9)
Bangladesh need 72 runs to win from 17 overs at 4.23 runs per over.

Over 3: Ahmed gets off the mark and Hurdle bowls two more no-balls. Nafees gets off the mark with a pull over mid-wicket for a huge six.
Bangladesh 17/1 (RR: 5.66): Nafees 6* (15), Ahmed 1* (4)
Bangladesh need 78 runs to win from 18 overs at 4.33 runs per over.

Over 2: Nafees sees off the remainder of the over with Mukuddem getting a great amount of swing but bowling two wides.
Bangladesh 8/1 (RR: 4.00): Nafees 0* (11), Ahmed 0* (0)
Bangladesh need 87 runs to win from 19 overs at 4.63 runs per over.

Aftab Ahmed is the new batsman.

WICKET
T Iqbal c Hurdle b Mukuddem 1 (2)

Mukuddem strikes with his first ball as Hurdle takes a brilliant catch in the deep. Iqbal dances down the track and tries to hack it over long-on but gets a very thick edge which rockets through the air to third-man. Hurdle runs wide, dives and pockets the catch while on the dive. Outstanding.

Mukuddem to share the new ball with Hurdle.

Over 1: A mammothly long over comes to an end as Hurdle completes his 11-ball over. Four huge wides down leg-side, a no-ball, a single for Iqbal and two hopeful shouts for lbw make up the over.
Bangladesh 6/0 (RR: 6.00): Nafees 0* (6), Iqbal 1* (1)
Bangladesh need 89 runs to win from 20 overs at 4.45 runs per over.

Kevin Hurdle to take the new ball for Bermuda.

Shahriar Nafees and Tamim Iqbal to open the batting for Bangladesh.

The players are back on the field after the short change of innings.

And now for the chase...

Bermuda: 94 for nine (21 overs)
Bangladesh need 95 to win at 4.49 runs per over.

That was a quick affair of a first innings and now Bangladesh will get to the pursuit. Remember, if (when) they get the required target they will be through to the Super Eights and India will be out of the World Cup. Let's hope the rain stays away for the remainder of this clash.

Over 21:
Bermuda 94/9 (RR: 4.47): Mukuddem 0* (0)

WICKET
K Hurdle b Razzak 0 (4)

The batsmen crossed in the air so Hurdle faces up and misses the second last ball of the innings before being clean bowled off the last. Two wickets and eight runs in the final over.

Saleem Mukuddem is the new batsman in.

WICKET
D Minors c Iqbal b Razzak 23 (25)

A single and a leg-bye and then Minors creams one over square-leg for six. He then goes over the bowler's head but is caught on the fence.

Razzak to bowl the last over of the innings.

Over 20: Hurdle sees off the last ball of the over and fails to get off the mark.
Bermuda 86/7 (RR: 4.30): Hurdle 0* (1), Minors 16* (22)

Kevin Hurdle is the new batsman out in the middle.

WICKET
J Tucker c Iqbal b Rafique 9 (6)

Minors takes a single. Tucker goes over cover and is dropped in the deep (nice attempt though). He then edges for four and lambastes on through mid-wicket but is caught on the ropes. That was fast and flat - nice catch.

Rafique back in the attack after just one over from Ahmed.

Over 19: Tucker and Minor try hard to penetrate the field in search of boundaries but some acrobatic fielding from the Bangladeshis restrict them to just five off the rest of the over.
Bermuda 78/6 (RR: 4.10): Tucker 2* (2), Minors 15* (21)

Janeiro Tucker is the new batter.

WICKET
L Cann b Hasan 16 (6)

Minors takes a quick single and then Cann is clean bowled with his head up in the air, hoping for another big one.

Over 18: Ahmed starts off really badly as Cann gets straight to the task at hand. He has been sent in up the order for a reason. He tickles one fine for two, lambastes the next over cow-corner for six, goes inside out to nail one through the covers for four and then smears a slower ball off the last ball of the over through mid-wicket.
Bermuda 72/5 (RR: 4.00): Cann 16* (5), Minors 11* (18)

Aftab Ahmed is into the attack.

Over 17: Two leg-byes and a single end off a successful over for Bangladesh.
Bermuda 54/5 (RR: 3.23): Cann 0* (0), Minors 10* (17)

Lionell Cann is the new batter.

WICKET
O Pitcher c Bashar b Hasan 22 (47)

Minors goes huge, mis-times but is dropped in the deep. Pitcher thenpushes past mid-wicket for two before being caught in the deep on the on-side by a diving Habibul Bashar.

Over 16: Pitcher and Minors gather two more singles each as Bermuda get to chasing quick runs - just five overs left in their innings now.
Bermuda 49/4 (RR: 3.06): Pitcher 20* (45), Minors 8* (13)

Players back on the field and here we go again.

20:40 BST - Alright, the covers are off and now the match will be 21 overs per side. Play to resume shortly.

20:10 BST - Sorry, still raining.

19:34 BST - And so we wait...again...

Over 15.1: One ball into the 16th over and we have rain on our hands again. The players are off and we begin the wait again.
Bermuda 45/4 (RR: 2.96): Pitcher 18* (43), Minors 6* (10)

Over 15: Hasan goes for two in his first over. Minors flicks one away on the on-side after which Pitcher plays out a couple of dots, then drilling one through point for just one. That last ball was tossed up a bit by Hasan.
Bermuda 45/4 (RR: 3.00): Pitcher 18* (42), Minors 6* (10)

Saqibul Hasan into the attack.

Over 14: Minors cuts late and grabs himself two through point and then another quick single. Pitcher, determined to be there at the end of the innings evidently, blocks out the rest of the over from Rafique (the only man in Bangladesh to have taken over 100 ODI wickets).
Bermuda 43/4 (RR: 3.07): Pitcher 17* (38), Minors 5* (8)

Over 13: Minors and Pitcher bag a single each, struggling against the young Razzak. Oh no, it's drizzling again.
Bermuda 40/4 (RR: 3.07): Pitcher 17* (36), Minors 2* (4)

Over 12: Rafique races through his first over off which Pitcher and Minors get just three runs. Minors getting off the mark. And that's the end of the shortened powerplay.
Bermuda 38/4 (RR: 3.16): Pitcher 16* (31), Minors 1* (3)

Mohammad Rafique is into the attack.

Over 11:
Bermuda 35/4 (RR: 3.18): Pitcher 14* (28), Minors 0* (0)

Dean Minors is the new batter.

WICKET
I Romaine lbw Razzak 11 (21)

Pitcher kicks off the over with a single. Romaine gets two boundaries down the ground, one along the ground and one through the air. He then misses a quicker one which is deemed a wide, survives a shout for lbw and then falls lbw to the guile of Razzak. Bermuda now four down.

Over 10: Pitcher cuts hard and brings up the first bouindary of the innings. He then bags a leg-bye leaving Romaine to swing and miss at two line-and-length deliveries from Rasel.
Bermuda 25/3 (RR: 2.50): Pitcher 13* (26), Romaine 3* (17)

Next power play to be taken - only two overs long due to the reduction thanks to the rain.

Over 9: Pitcher drives the first ball of the over through the covers for a single after which Romaine plays out the last five balls, surviving a half-hearted appeal for lbw.
Bermuda 20/3 (RR: 2.18): Pitcher 9* (22), Romaine 3* (15)

Spinner Abdur Razzak into the attack.

The covers are whipped off quickly and play is ready to start again. We seem to be talking about the resumpiton of play a lot today.

Ouch! the covers are back on after just two balls of play. But it's light and nobody is going anywhere yet. And so we wait again. Hang tight...

Over 8: Rasel finishes his broken over with Romaine picking up two more through square-leg.
Bermuda 19/3 (RR: 2.37): Pitcher 8* (21), Romaine 3* (10)

Rasel to complete his over.

The players are back on the field. The game has been reduced further - now a 30-over per side match.

Good news, the covers are off again and play will resume shortly.

And so we wait...

Over 7.4: Pitcher plays and misses, defends on the front foot, gets two through mid-wicket and then another single down to third-man. The rain is quite steady now and indeed, the umpires call for the covers and play is put to a stop again.
Bermuda 17/3 (RR: 2.21): Pitcher 8* (21), Romaine 1* (8)

The groundstaff, covers in hand, are hanging about.

Over 7: The pitch has livened up quite a bit as Mortaza gets a couple to zip through past the striker's bat. A huge wide (attempted bouncer) slips down leg-side and guess what...it's drizzling again.
Bermuda 13/3 (RR: 1.85): Pitcher 5* (17), Romaine 1* (8)

Over 6: Romaine defends his first ball and then picks up a quick single on the leg-side to get off the mark.
Bermuda 12/3 (RR: 2.00): Pitcher 5* (17), Romaine 1* (2)

Skipper Irvine Romaine is the new batsman.

WICKET
D Hemp c Ashraful b Rasel 0 (4)

Hemp goes for a quacker as he plays out three balls and then cuts hard but straight to point. The star gone for a duck. Oh dear.

Over 5: The batsman crossed in the air so Pitcher is on strike and clips off his pads for two. Mortaza then gets him to play and miss a couple before nearly getting an edge off a no-ball. The last ball is another play and miss. Hemp, not yet faced a ball.
Bermuda 11/2 (RR: 2.20): Pitcher 5* (17), Hemp 0* (0)

David Hemp is the new batter.

WICKET!
D Borden c Bashar b Mortaza 2 (11)

Mortaza strikes straight away as Habibul Bashar takes a catch at mid-off. Borden getting a high leading edge and Mortaza bagging his second wicket of the day.

Over 4: Borden picks up a single to third-man as play resumes after the lengthy break. Rasel also bowls a no-ball to finish the quiet over.
Bermuda 8/1 (RR: 2.00): Pitcher 3* (11), Borden 2* (10)

Rasel to continue.

The players are back out on the field and now the game has been reduced to a 35-over per side affair.

The rain has stopped and it looks as though we will have play again shortly.

17:40 BST - Sorry, it's still raining...

Bad news I'm afraid - the rain is too strong and the covers (such as they are) are coming on. Only three overs play possible. How frustrating.

Over 3: Pitcher takes another very risky single. This time Borden was running to the danger end and may just have made his ground if the throw had hit. Mortaza bangs one in, but it goes down the leg side and a wide is called. Borden flashes outside off stump and edges through the vacant gully region, and they take a single.
Bermuda 6/1 (RR: 2.00): Pitcher 2* (5), Borden 1* (9)

The groundstaff are readying themselves on the boundary edge, but neither umpire seems to be making any move to come off just yet. Let's hope it stays that way.

Over 2: Pitcher picks up a risky single first up from Rasel - they may well have been in trouble if the throw was more accurate. Borden almost flicks a leading edge return catch to Rasel from the last ball, but he just survives.
Bermuda 3/1 (RR: 1.50): Pitcher 2* (3), Borden 0* (5)

Syed Rasel will share the new ball.

Bad news - it looks like it's raining again.

Over 1:
Bermuda 2/1 (RR: 2.00): Pitcher 1* (2), Borden 0* (0)

Deloyne Borden is the new batsman.

WICKET!
S Outerbridge c Rafique b Mortaza 0 (4)

Outerbridge gets Bermuda off the mark first ball, tucking off his hip for a single leg bye. Pitchernotches up his first run with a half-controlled guide down to third man. Outerbridge then goes for a rather ill-advised hook and top edges right down the throat of Mohammad Rafique at long leg. Great start for Bangladesh.

Even after such a lengthy break, only nine overs per innings has been lost, so each side will bat for 41 overs.

Masharafe Mortaza will take the new ball for Bangladesh.

Steven Outerbridge and Oliver Pitcher will open the batting for Bermuda.

After some excellent work from the groundstaff, play is about to get underway in Trinidad.

1630 BST - Good news from Trinidad - it looks like the rain has stopped, and the covers are coming off. No word on when play is expected to start though.

1550 BST - Still raining...
