Alastair Cook was the story on day one as he managed 95, but day two belonged to Gary Ballance and Ian Bell who scored 156 and 167 respectively to allow their captain to declare on 569 for seven.

India's reply saw them reach just 25 for one from 14 overs, with James Anderson taking the wicket of opener Sikhar Dhawan to put his side in position to take control of the Test on Tuesday.

Sky Bet certainly rate their chances, offering 11/10 about an England win and 5/6 the draw - that was the best price available anywhere at 1915 BST.

India's total runs spread is set at 390.5, while it's 5/6 each of Murali Vijay and Cheteshwar Pujara in the next man out market.
