A niggling knee injury has delayed the all-rounder's start to the season, which he hopes will take place for Nottinghamshire in the County Championship match with Durham, which begins on May 25.
He also aims to play at Sussex before taking his England place on June 12 at Lord's.
"I'm running this week and I'm bowling next week," said Broad, who was speaking at the launch of Royal London's one-day cricket sponsorship at the Royal Opera House.
"It's important you don't want to just bowl this week and play next week.
"I've had a month without bowling the ball now. You've got to build up gradually to make sure I'm 100 per cent ready.
"We've got seven back-to-back Test matches and that's my aim; I'm not going to make the one-day series.
"Hopefully I'll play the seven back-to-back Test matches and then the one-day series against India.
"I'm due to play the Championship game for Notts on May 25 against Durham, hopefully to prove I'm ready to go for the Test match in June."
