Low-key return for Root
England batsman Joe Root had to be satisfied with fielding practice as he made his comeback from injury in Yorkshire seconds' three-day friendly against Lancashire at Northop Hall in North Wales.

The 23-year-old broke his thumb batting against West Indies in England's ODI series victory in Antigua seven weeks ago and was forced to miss the ICC World Twenty20.
Yorkshire put Lancashire into bat after winning the toss and the home side reached 201 for two by the close of a rain-hit opening day, with Root not called on to bowl.
