Ahead of this week's tour opener agains Western Australia, Sky Bet have 'price boosted' the England captain to 7/2 to be his side's top runscorer in the forthcoming five-Test series.
That's an industry-best price about a player who made 766 runs in five matches Down Under in 2010/11 at an average of 127.66. He made three centuries, including a top-score of 235 not out.
Sky Bet announced their series Price Boosts on Monday, with their theme being to take on repeats of what happened in Australia three years ago.
In the correct-score market, they have therefore lengthened England's price to win the series 3-1 from 13/2 to 8/1.
Sky Bet trader Jon Hesford said: "It will take some effort from Cook to replicate his efforts in Australia last time out. However, I'm sure a return to the same venues will give him great confidence after he struggled somewhat during the summer.
"We expect England to win the series - that's an even-money chance - but whether they can win in 3-1 again remains to be seen. Certainly we're prepared to take punters on if they think it's going to happen."
