West Indies v Pakistan

A woeful top-order display saw the West Indies beaten for the second day in succession by Pakistan in the second Twenty20 international on St Vincent.

Umar Akmal: Blasted 46 for Pakistan

Ahmed Shehzad made 44 and Umar Akmal added a rapid unbeaten 46 to lift the tourists to a competitive 135 for seven in their 20 overs.

And the Windies had to recover from four for three, leaving Dwayne Bravo (35), Sunil Narine (28) and Kieron Pollard (23) with too much to do.

Shehzad hit the second ball for four but lost opening partner Mohammad Hafeez for 10, caught off a top-edged cut after the pair put on 24 in four overs.

Umar Amin made only seven and Haris Sohail one but Akmal joined Shehzad in a fourth-wicket stand of 36 in 4.5 overs.

Shehzad launched both Tino Best and Pollard for six but fell when he tried to repeat the dose and hoisted Pollard to Lendl Simmons at deep mid-wicket.

Akmal saw three partners dismissed in as many overs as Shahid Afridi (six), Hammad Azam (one) and Sohail Tanvir (nought) fell cheaply.

Bravo again leaked runs at the death, 16 coming from the 19th over including a six and a four from Akmal, but he was unable to reach his half-century in the last.

Remarkably, Tanvir and Hafeez then reduced the hosts to four for three in 3.1 overs as Johnson Charles made a nine-ball duck and Chris Gayle and Marlon Samuels fell for one apiece.

Simmons was bowled by Afridi for three and Narine was surprisingly sent in at number six, though he and Bravo both hit sixes in Afridi's next over.

The pair put on 47 in 5.3 overs before Narine, having also hit three fours, skied Saeed Ajmal to Umar Amin at long-on.

Pollard hit two fours and two sixes in 10 balls before he and Bravo departed to successive Zulfiqar Babar deliveries to leave their side 94 for seven.

Christopher Barnwell made 10 and Best clubbed a defiant 17 from nine balls but could not manage the unlikely 23 needed off the last over.
