The England U19 captain, who turns 23 in December, has struggled to nail down a regular place in the side but has performed well when called upon.
Riazuddin played four times in the County Championship last season, picking up five wickets and scoring the winning runs in Hampshire's penultimate-ball victory over Glamorgan.
"Hampshire's my home, it's where I've grown up and I love playing here," he said.
"It's hopefully an exciting year coming up with some great things happening at the club and, having enjoyed two trophy wins last year, it's a good place to be.
"Last season gave me a lot of confidence and I've had a lot of backing here in terms of development. I'd love to have a long career at Hampshire so, if I can make that work, I'll do everything I can to do that."
Hampshire manager Giles White has urged Riazuddin to make the most of his opportunity and force his way into the first team.
"Hamza performed when he was called upon last year and 2013 offers him the opportunity to push on and stake a claim for a more regular first-team place," he said.
