After missing the World Twenty20 for sending "provocative" text messages, the 32-year-old signed a new central contract on Wednesday paving way for his "reintegration" ahead of the winter tour of India.
Sky Bet offer 5/2 that Pietersen will be England's top run scorer in the four-Test series and 9/4 for him to score 50 or more runs in the first innings, while he is 16/1 to return with a duck and 100/1 for a pair of ducks in the first Test.
Sky Bet Cricket Trader Tom Warburton said: "It's a perfect platform for Pietersen to come back as he is arguably England's best player against spin, while he is more than comfortable in the spotlight.
"However, it remains to be seen how his return will impact the team as a whole in what promises to be a very testing series, which England are 4/1 to triumph in."
