Matthew Boyce: Staying at Grace Road

The batsman is the sixth player to commit his future to the Foxes after Michael Thornely, Rob Taylor, James Sykes, Angus Robson and Ollie Freckingham all recently signed new deals.

The left-hander, 27, is Leicestershire's second leading run-scorer in the County Championship this season with 714 runs and has firmly established himself in the Friends Life T20 side with 426 runs.

Chief executive Mike Siddall told the Leicestershire CCC website: "We're delighted that Matthew has agreed to continue his career with Leicestershire.

"He's had an excellent season in all forms of the game and the team has really benefited from his experience."
