Bresnan had initially been made unavailable for Yorkshire for the remainder of the season, but England's management are set to make a call on whether to release him for Finals Day, which will also be staged at the SWALEC Stadium on Saturday.
"The ECB last night announced that Tim Bresnan was unavailable to play for Yorkshire for the remainder of the season including the Friends Life t20 Finals Day in Cardiff this weekend," a Yorkshire statement read.
"The club however understands that Tim's involvement in Finals Day depends on decisions to be made by the England management following the NatWest ODI on Friday.
"The club remains hopeful that Tim will be able to represent Yorkshire Carnegie on Finals Day but will also respect any decision made that furthers the chances of the England national side."
The ECB have confirmed that a late call would be made on Bresnan, who has previously been rested for England duty this summer.
Bresnan's England team-mates Jonny Bairstow (Yorkshire) and Craig Kieswetter (Somerset) have already been made available for Finals Day.
