Botham: Stokes to shine
Sir Ian Botham believes Ben Stokes could be the value bet ahead of the start of England's summer series with India.
The Durham all-rounder was added to the England squad ahead of the 1st Test at Trent Bridge after taking a career best 10-121 in a recent clash against Sussex.
And Botham believes the 24-year-old, who was the only highlight of the disastrous 5-0 drubbing in Australia in the winter, could have a major say with the ball in this summer's five-match Test series.
With key bowlers Jimmy Anderson (2/1) and Stuart Broad (3/1) both short prices in the top series wicket taker market the former England all-rounder feels Stokes is the value bet at 13/2 with Sky Bet.
He said: "Jimmy Anderson is the man England will look to get the wickets but his price is too short. The value for me is with Ben Stokes. He looks like he's back to fitness and I think they'll play him as he gives the side balance."
Botham is also tipping England at even money to bounce back after Test series defeats to Australia and Sri Lanka with victory over India.
"It's got to be an England win for me," said Botham. "India's batting is very strong but it's their bowling department is where they are weak.
"They [England} aren't playing well but I think India's bowlers will struggle and with home advantage England will have the edge."

Botham is also backing Ian Bell to be top England runscorer in the first innings of the First Test starting at Trent Bridge today - and Sky Bet have boosted his price to 7/2!
