Kings XI coasted to a five-wicket win over Royal Challengers Bangalore to maintain their 100 per cent start to the seventh edition of the Indian Premier League.
After posting just 70 in their last outing, Bangalore struggled with the bat once again as they mustered just 124-8 from their 20 overs.
Chris Gayle smashed 20 from the opening over but the RCB innings rapidly went downhill from there as Sandeep Sharma (3-15) and Mitchell Johnson shared four quick wickets.
Indian medium-pace bowler Sharma accounted for Bangalore's top three with Gayle (20), Virat Kohli (4) and Parthiv Patel (2) all falling quickly after an explosive start to the match.
Aussie paceman Johnson dismissed Yogesh Takawale and compatriot Mitchell Starc to finish with 2-19 from his four overs and only 35 from Yuvraj Singh saw RCB towards respectability.
The previously free-scoring Kings XI top-order made hard work of the run-chase initially before Virender Sehwag (32) and David Miller (26) steadied the ship.
With plenty of wickets in hand, captain George Bailey (16no) and Rishi Dhawan (23no) then combined to see the table-toppers over the line with seven balls to spare.
