Bangladesh dug in to secure a draw in their second and final Test with Sri Lanka in Chittagong.

Mominul Haque: Backbone of the innings
Mominul Haque: Backbone of the innings

Having been set a daunting target of 467 to win, the home side batted throughout the day to reach 271 for three before both sides decided on a draw.

Mominul Haque's hundred formed the backbone of the innings, with the promising 22-year-old making it three tons in seven Tests.

He was given ample support throughout, with Tamim Iqbal (31), Shamsur Rahman (45), Imrul Kayes (25) and Shakib Al Hasan (43 not out) all adding to his unbeaten 100.

It proved to be a frustrating day for Sri Lanka, who had hoped to close out a 2-0 series win following the heroics of Kumar Sangakkara, who made 424 runs across their two innings.

Their first scalp on the last day was hard earned, with Tamim bowled between bat and pad by Kithuruwan Vithanage with the score on 71 for one.

Dilruwan Perera then made them them think they had a chance as he made Rahman chop on to leave them 81 for two.

But when the third wicket did not fall until 151 - Kayes playing across the line to Perera - it was clear progress was slow and with Mominul bedded in, the tourists' frustrations grew.

His hundred arrived in 167 balls and after that, Sri Lanka captain Angelo Mathews decided he had seen enough and called time on his side's pursuit of wickets with an hour of play left.
