The Dutch, who were set a 152 to win, made it look easy as they reached their target with seven balls remaining thanks to Myburgh's knock of 55, with man-of-the-match Tom Cooper unbeaten on 34.

UAE captain Khurram Khan won the toss and chose to bat first in his side's first appearance in a top ICC event since the 1996 World Cup.

The UAE lost both their openers Faizan Asif (six) and Amjad Ali (five) in the first two overs as they got off to a terrible start before Khan and Swapnil Patil steadied the ship and put on a 68-run partnership.

While Cooper broke their stand taking the wicket of Patil (23) and then Khan (31) in the 11th over before top scorer Shaiman Anwar (32) struck.

But the wickets continued to tumble as Rohan Mustafa was run out for 20 before the tail-enders struggled and Ahsan Malik took three for 16 and Cooper took two for 18 as the UAE were bowled out for 151.

In the same group, Ireland earlier claimed a dramatic three-wicket win over Zimbabwe with a bye off the final ball.
