The Delhi Daredevils are still yet to register a win in this season's Indian Premier League after being a crushing 83-run loss to the Chennai Super Kings.

  • Mahendra Singh Dhoni: Blasted 44 in a hurry for the Super Kings
  • Mike Hussey: Played a key role for Chennai

The struggling Daredevils - who have now lost six on the spin - never came close to reaching a challenging target of 170 at the Feroz Shah Kotla, mustering just 83 in 17.3 overs.

Only three of their batsmen made it into double figures, wicketkeeper Kedar Jadhav top-scoring with 31 from 28 deliveries before becoming the final wicket to fall.

Virender Sehwag made 17 at the top of the order but his departure to Mohit Sharma, who finished with figures of 3-10 from three overs, left Delhi at 30-4.

The run out of Jeevan Mendia for 11 didn't help their cause, while Ravichandran Ashwin claimed two late wickets as the tail subsided in a hurry, the final six wickets going down for just 22 runs.

Chennai had earlier timed their innings of 169-4 to perfection; Michael Hussey provided a solid platform at the top of the order with 65 not out before they cut loose in the latter stages.

Australian Hussey hit two sixes and six fours in his 50-ball knock that saw him share a stand worth 60 for the second wicket with Suresh Raina (30).

He was then happy to play second fiddle to Mahendra Singh Dhoni in a 74-run alliance that saw the Super Kings skipper contribute 44 from just 23 balls.
