Brisbane Heat blazed to their first Big Bash title with a 34-run victory over Perth Scorchers in Saturday's final at the WACA.

The visitors set a competitive 167-5 off their 20 overs and the Scorchers fell well short, finishing on 133-9.
Joe Burns top-scored with 42 for the Heat, with Dan Christian and Luke Pomersbach, the leading run-scorer in the tournament, each wading in with useful 37s.
Jason Behrendorff took 2-38, while Brad Hogg was the most economical of the Perth bowlers, finishing with 1-19 in his four overs.
In reply, the Scorchers were put on the back foot when Marcus Stoinis was out for one in the second over, caught by Nathan Hauritz off Kemar Roach.
Adam Voges then gave the hosts some hope, hitting 49, but the Scorchers' chances were effectively over when Mike Hussey was caught by Christian off Alister McDermott in the final ball of the 17th over.
This left Perth on 124-5, needing 44 off the final three overs, but Roach took the wickets of Simon Katich and Voges in the next over.
Ben Cutting captured Alfonso Thomas in the following over and McDermott claimed Hogg in the penultimate over as the Scorchers' innings petered out.
Roach finished with the best bowling figures, taking 3-18 off his four overs, with McDermott and Cutting claiming two wickets apiece.
