  • Now then England, are you up to this? Defeat for Stuart Broad's men would put West Indies and Sri Lanka in the last four. Win and it all comes down to net run rate
  • WI SUPER OVER 19-0 0.5 (GAYLE 8 SAMUELS 9): No prizes for guessing Gayle will take strike here. Samuels is walking to the middle with him, while Southee will bowl from around the wicket. What a start! Southee's no-ball is launched over long-off by Gayle, and the big man will have a free hit next up. Just the single, nine needed off five. Samuels swipes two, leg side, and a single gets Gayle back on strike. Southee's gone to pot, I'm afraid, as a wide wide leaves five needed from three. Make that four from two as Gayle can only eke a single. SIX! it's all over as Samuels sends Southee's full toss over the rope at deep midwicket. New Zealand out, Windies still alive!
  • NZ SUPER OVER 17-0 (TAYLOR 14 B McCULLUM 1): Eccentric call from Sammy, who opts for Samuels rather than Narine - he'll be in for some fearful stick if this backfires...Marlon starts with a leg-side wide and Taylor flips a full toss over fine leg for two. Samuels fires one into Taylor's pads and they run a leg bye. McCullum gives it the charge but can only squeeze a single - five off three. Another fine-leg flip from Taylor beats the fielder, and he follows up with a huge six off Samuels' rank full toss. A scurried two finishes it off, and Windies will need 17 to win having hit more boundaries overall
  • END OF INNINGS: Right, here's what's what. One over each, team with the most runs wins, and two wickets mean the end of the over. The loser is out, and the winner will have to wait for the outcome of England's game against Sri Lanka to learn their fate
  • OVER 20 NZ 139/7 (TAYLOR 62): Samuels and Russell do their best to fob off the final over on each other as Sammy asks for a volunteer. In the end it's Samuels who draws the short straw. Here we go...Marlon starts with a leg-side wide - 13 off six now. A dot follows, but a shocking Narine misfield gifts Taylor two, and there's two more. Nine needed off three...SIX! and Taylor flips a full toss over the fine leg rope. Three off two now, New Zealand in the box seat! Taylor scuttles a single - two to win, one for a super over! And a super over it is as Bracewell is run out coming back for the second!
  • OVER 19 NZ 126/6 (TAYLOR 51 BRACEWELL 0): McCullum's reverse sweep off Surine gets Taylor back on strike, and the skipper brings up 50 with a clip off his legs. WICKET! McCullum sizes up the midwicket fence but picks out Charles in the deep! Unbelievable couple of overs from Surine - he might just have kept his side alive here. Six balls, 14 needed to win
  • OVER 18 NZ 123/5 (TAYLOR 49 N McCULLUM 4): Windies can't afford to keep Rampaul's last over back any longer, and he uses all his wiles to stop Taylor eyeing up the leg-side boundary. Eight from it isn't a disaster, 17 needed off the last two. This is tense
  • OVER 17 NZ 115/5 (TAYLOR 45 N McCULLUM 0): WICKET! Windies badly need something from Narine and he provides it, trapping Oram in front with a skidder. Really top-quality over, just two from it, and the pressure's back on with 25 needed from 18 balls
  • OVER 16 NZ 113/4 (TAYLOR 45 ORAM 4): It's Sammy to bowl out, but he puts one in the slot for Taylor's favourite swipe, and it disappears over midwicket for six. A clip to square leg brings four more as Russell is caught between going for the catch and making the stop. Big - and potentially decisive - over, that one
  • OVER 15 NZ 99/4 (TAYLOR 32 ORAM 3): Sammy risks Pollard for a second time, and it's a decent enough over. Bonus run in there as Gayle's shy at the stumps gives Taylor two where there was barely a single. Five overs remain for one side to salvage their survival hopes. Right now it looks like being New Zealand, who need 41
  • OVER 14 NZ 93/4 (TAYLOR 27 ORAM 2): Sammy is cut to the third man fence as Narine opts to stand and admire rather than fling himself at it. New Zealand still picking up handy singles, to boot
  • OVER 13 NZ 85/4 (TAYLOR 21 ORAM 0): Narine produces a candidate for the competition's worst delivery, a no-ball which barely pitches on the strip. Gets away with a single off the free hit. WICKET! Narine gets rid of Franklin, but he owes plenty a brilliant catch from Gayle, stooping to his right at slip. 55 from 42 balls the target
  • OVER 12 NZ 78/3 (TAYLOR 17 FRANKLIN 12): Gayle's on and milked for a couple through midwicket by Franklin before Taylor's sweep beats a sluggish fine-leg fielder to the rope. The skipper then swats an ugly full toss over the midwicket rope, and it all adds up to the best over of the innings to date
  • OVER 11 NZ 63/3 (TAYLOR 6 FRANKLIN 8): Pollard is thrown the ball for the first time all tournament, and it shows as a sub-medium half-tracker is clumped for four by Franklin. Otherwise okay, but you get the impression there's always a long-hop in the post
  • OVER 10 NZ 56/3 (TAYLOR 5 FRANKLIN 2): Taylor takes a chance, calling Franklin for a single on the risky side of rapid. He gets away with it, but just four off the over and Badree's bowled out with 1-18. In and out like a cat burglar. The Kiwis need 84 off 10
  • OVER 9 NZ 52/3 (TAYLOR 4 FRANKLIN 0): Guptill opens the face and skids Sammy down to the third man rope to loosen the shackles a little. A wide old wide then brings up 50. WICKET! Poor way to go for Guptill, who flat bats a wide long-hop straight to point. This one's right in the balance
  • OVER 8 NZ 45/2 (GUPTILL 16 TAYLOR 3): WICKET! And a big one, at that. Badree's back and gets a straight one through McCullum's ill-considered two-step down the strip. Middle stump goes, and so does the Kiwis' main man
  • OVER 7 NZ 40/1 (GUPTILL 14 B McCULLUM 22): Sammy gives himself an over, shuffling in off 10 paces or so, and it passes with scant incident as New Zealand keep it ticking over with singles. 100 needed off 13
  • OVER 6 NZ 34/1 (GUPTILL 12 B McCULLUM 18): Narine's on - with the added bonus that he's no longer in a fielding position. McCullum seizes on a short one and pulls for four before timing one through midwicket for two more
  • OVER 5 NZ 25/1 (GUPTILL 11 B McCULLUM 11): Rampaul drops too short to Guptill, who pulls for four in eye-catching style. Not much else to swing at, though, and the bowlers continue to hold sway
