  • Game over!

Thanks for coming, albeit for a short match. India will have a lot to think about ahead of the third ODI, where they will need their batsmen to come to the party. Sri Lanka will be thrilled with the result after playing so poorly in the first match. It's 1-1 in the series, and next up is Colombo on the 28th.
  • Over 20 Ojha 0-0-2-1-4

139-1 - And that's the end of that. Ojha comes on to bowl an over, and he doesn't get to complete it. Chandimal hits a boundary to seal the deal, and that's a comprehensive nine-wicket win to level the series.
  • Over 19 Ashwin 0-0-0-0-0-0

    132-1 - A maiden over!
  • Over 18 Yadav 1-4-0-0-4-1

132-1 - Tharanga brings up his fifty with a neat guided cut to third man for four, and then he tries to pull a bouncer but gets a top edges and it flies to the ropes behind the keeper. Seven runs to win required.
  • Over 17 Ashwin 2-1-0-W-1wd-0-1

121-1 - Dilshan got his fifty in between all that madness in the previous over, at less than a run a ball. Then! WICKET! He tries to sweep Ashwin, but it hits his gloves and pops up for Dhoni to take an easy catch. he will be very cross that he didn't stick around to the end. Dinesh Chandimal comes in to get the last 20 runs.
  • Over 16 Yadav 0-1-0-4-2-4

116-0 - Good fielding from Rohit Sharma on the second ball nearly sees a run out, but his diving throw is wide of the mark. The fourth ball is pulled for a boundary as the attempted bouncer was too slow and low. Dilshan tries the same next ball but it's high in the air and falls short of Zaheer, so they can run two. The final ball sees a back-foot drive thunder to the ropes.
  • Over 15 Ashwin 0-1-0-0-1-0

105-0 - An even better over from Ashwin. Dilshan is annoyed with himself on the final ball for missing a short and wide one, but otherwise the spinner does a good job.
  • Over 14 Yadav 1-1-0-1-0-0

103-0 - That was a positively sparse over from Yadav. Only three runs from it, as he kept to his line and forced the batsmen to play to the fielders. To be fair, Sri Lanka are hardly pushing it, and are happy to take a bit longer to get the runs as long as they don't lose wickets.
  • Over 13 Ashwin 0-0-2-0-1-2

100-0 - This final ball of a fairly decent over brings up the 100. Only 39 more to go, and 37 overs in which to do it.
  • Over 12 Khan 4lb-0-2-0-1wd-4-0

95-0 - Aaaand four runs off Khan's first ball! This time they're leg byes down to fine leg. He adds a wide, and the extras column could soon be the innings' top scorer. Tharanga drives the extra ball for four, no follow-through required.
  • Over 11 Ashwin 0-0-1-1-1-3

84-0 - Ashwin gets his spell underway and gives up six runs. That's quite sparing compared to the previous few overs!
  • Over 10 Khan 4-1lb-0-3wd-2lb-2-2

78-0 - Once again, Zaheer gives away a four off the first ball. Dilshan steps forward and whips it to the leg side, easy as you like. The infamous Hambantota wind is still blowing strongly, and the wides are flowing again. Dhoni is having a right old time of it, trying to stop all the wayward deliveries.
  • We're back!

The second half of the innings begins!
  • Lunch!

Sri Lanka are well on their way to victory, and one has to wonder whether they would rather just have gotten on with it, or taken lunch during the innings break. They require 75 more runs.
  • Over 9 Yadav 4-4-0-0-2-3

64-0 - Boom and crash! Two boundaries for Dilshan to start, and poor Yadav is off to an expensive start. Raina makes a blunder of his fielding and an extra run is added. Expensive over. And that's lunch. Join us again in a bit!
  • Over 9 Khan 4-4

Bosh and boom! Two boundaries in a row for Dilshan, and poor Zaheer is having a mare
  • Over 8 Pathan 0-1wd-0-3-1wd-1wd-0-0-1wd-4

51-0 - What a long over! A bunch of wides, problems with the side screen, a dog, an illegal fire on the boundary, some excellent fielding from Kohli and Zaheer, and then a four off the final ball. It's all go!
  • Over 8 Pathan 0-1wd-0-3-1wd-1wd-0-0-1wd

47-0 - Superb fielding from Virat Kohli to stop a boundary off the third ball, and then from Zaheer, who drags the next ball back from the boundary. This wide ball situation is getting silly now, as is the situation on the boundary. A dog and an illegal fire are causing some delays. Then another wide is added. This is a very long over in terms of time
  • Over 7 Khan 4-0-0-0-1-1

40-0 - Tharanga is loving facing Zaheer, and pastes him for another four, and the required runs drop into double figures.
  • Over 6 Pathan 0-0-3-4-1lb-2

34-0 - Dilshan seems to be eager to get this over with, but swings and misses. He'll need to be careful or he'll spark a collapse! One cut does come off though and only the wind stops it from reaching the boundary as they runs three. Tharange cuts it in the other direction and it races for four, the wind helping it along.
