Nottinghamshire Outlaws and Yorkshire Carnegie shared the points after heavy rain forced the abandonment of their NatWest Pro40 League meeting.

Only 13.1 overs were possible before the bad weather forecast for Nottingham arrived just after 5pm, frustrating the efforts of the two teams to climb from the foot of Division One.

Yorkshire had been put into bat by Outlaws skipper Chris Read and had reached 63 for two, with the in-form Jacques Rudolph caught behind off Darren Pattinson for nine.

And although Adam Lyth hit six boundaries to reach 30 off 32 balls, he also edged behind to wicket-keeper Read off Andy Carter.
