Robert Croft took five for 65 as Glamorgan beat Middlesex by 23 runs in a closely fought, low-scoring LV County Championship Division Two clash at Swansea.
Middlesex were bowled out for 167 chasing 190 to win as 22 wickets fell on as dramatic third day - 19 to the spinners.
The match looked as though it would creep into a fourth day despite Glamorgan claiming the extra half hour in failing light.
But three overs from the end Dean Cosker took the final wicket of Steve Finn to give Glamorgan their second Division two win of the season. Shaun Udal, who took match figures of 10 for 95, was left stranded at the other end.
Glamorgan took 18 points for the win to Middlesex's three.
After Middlesex were bowled out for 170 in their first innings, adding just four runs on the third morning, Glamorgan went into their second innings with a 54-run lead.
But the home side had their middle order ripped out by the spin duo of Udal and Murali Kartik as they lost six wickets for just 12 runs as they went from 70 for two to 82 for eight.
The collapse ensued when Gareth Rees pushed half forward to Tim Murtagh and was caught behind before spin took its effect.
Michael Powell clipped Udal straight to mid-wicket, Dalrymple was trapped leg before to one from Kartik which kept low and Allenby was caught at short leg off Udal.
Glamorgan limped to lunch at 74 for six before Udal took two wickets in consecutive balls to remove Mark Wallace, caught slog sweeping, and James Harris, snaffled at short leg.
Croft and Adam Shantry did give some resistance in a partnership of 34 - the best of the innings - before Shantry was caught at cover point off Udal, who then had Croft leg before.
Middlesex employed their one-day opening partnership of Nick Compton and Dawid Malan to get them off to a good start.
But with Croft taking the new ball they had to be watchful on the turning surface.
And it was the former England off spinner who got the breakthrough to have Compton caught behind.
Twenty-seven for one became 38 for two when Sam Robson drove Cosker straight to short extra cover.
And despite resistance from the third wicket Jamie Dalrymple claimed the prize wicket in his first over, having Owais Shah caught at leg slip.
Wickets fell at regular intervals. Croft changed ends and took two wickets in the space of five balls. Eion Morgan fell leg before and Malan was caught sharply by Herschelle Gibbs above his head at slip.
At 99 for five the momentum began to swing Glamorgan's way, especially as Croft bowled Gareth Berg and Ben Scott was trapped leg before.
And there was a further boost for Glamorgan as Murali Kartik was run out by Michael Powell in a mix-up with his skipper Udal.
Glamorgan claimed the extra half hour and immediately got a further breakthrough as Croft, sealing his first five-wicket haul of the season, had Tim Murtagh caught behind attempting to cut, before Cosker wrapped up the win.
